A couple of weeks ago, I wrote an article called, Time for Reflection, where I talked about “living a life on purpose!” Or as my mentor calls it, “The book of Life!” Whichever way you want to call it is not important, what is important is that you do something with it.

Today, I’d like to make it a bit more personal by telling you how I am doing so far. As mentioned in the article, Time for Reflection, this is serious homework and it takes time and effort. I am not even half way through my revision yet, but for the business aspect of my “Life Book”, I have come to realize a few very interesting findings.

For example, 2013 has been a great year for me and my business, yet as I analyze my accomplishments and failures, and start plotting my course changes for next year, I realized that I was thinking too small!

I was developing a business, that although I know it is performing really well, for a business that still is in its infancy, I know I can play, or at least attempt to play with the big boys! Perhaps you are wondering, “what does he mean by playing with the big boys?” Well, some of the most lucrative contracts come from the big projects, big developers, big companies and multi-nationals. If you think about it, they all need or are in real estate one way or another. What does it take to assist them? Do they need assistance? Can I get in with them somehow? Who do I know that can help me get in with some of these folks? What can I offer them? What do I bring to the table?

In short, as I read somewhere once, the question is more important than the answer. Ask the right questions, and the direction of your life and business will present itself. It takes, patience, knowing yourself and analyzing yourself and business to begin to comprehend where you are and where you’d like to be. Then the questions begin to pour. Some of the questions are simple to answer, some may take a lifetime to answer, but that’s what life is all about… the journey! Enjoy!
