“A man to carry on a successful business must have imagination. He must see things as in a vision, a dream of the whole thing.” This is a quote from Charles M. Schwab. Mr. Schwab knew what he was talking about. After all, he built a multinational financial giant!
We, as entrepreneurs, have to start somewhere, and we always begin with a dream. That dream has to be turned into a vision. The vision of your business. The vision of your business should, should is not strong enough, must be written down. The vision for the business must resonate with you and your core values.
One of the reasons you want the vision for your business to resonate with your core values is because you will embody the vision for the business and through it, your core values will shine. If one is not coherent with the other, your employees will see right through you and you won’t be able to get your employees to engage.
